Day 10: Elderflowerrrrz

Today was a great day - more or less :)

We got going EARLY (which was tough because not only was last night another late night, I had a terrible time trying to fall asleep!!) - Breakfast at 8 and leaving at 8:30. We went to the Copenhagen Temple. It's small, but BEAUTIFUL. Lots of great detail work inside - and very lovely. We spent about 3 hours there, then came back to the hostel to change our clothes.

After that a group of us went out to get bikes and tour the city - but that didn't work out. We found ourselves at the central train station, and ate lunch and ice cream. It was very Danish. I had what they call a "French Hot Dog." SO GOOD! It's a baguette that's more or less hollowed out in the middle, then they squirt this "french hot dog sauce" into it, and stick in a hot dog!! It's the greatest idea, too because it's not messy or anything. We ate ice cream at Paradis and I had two flavors - strawberry and ELDERFLOWER. Heaven. And because i'm not feeling so well i got some more Ricolas (i lost the bag i brought :( ) and guess what flavor they are? ELDERFLOWER. Joy joy joy!!!!

After spending about 2.5 hours of time in a big, slow group doing nothing more than standing/sitting around in the middle of this gorgeous city, i encouraged some friends to come a'walkin and we saw the City Hall, the "walking district" the something Church of the Holy Ghost and got a great feel for Copenhagen. It's beautiful here but boy is it BUSY. There are SO many people!!

Anyway - i'm off soon to go to a rehearsal and then spend some time with the young single adult group of the LDS church here in Copenhagen.
